5-Minute Beauty: Get Hailee Steinfeld’s Mermaid Waves

Recent images of Hailee Steinfeld stepping out at the Young Hollywood Awards on May 20th in Los Angeles made us wonder how she got such pretty waves!  The fresh new face for Miu Miu’s fall/winter 2011 campaign has us lusting over her gorgeous locks, which can easily be transformed from a day-to-night hairstyle.

The easy going waves make for a great relaxed look that you can do yourself! Follow these quick and easy steps for equally luscious mermaid waves like Hailee’s.

Step 1.

Prep hair with a styling spray when it’s still wet–spritz on the roots, then comb through hair

Step 2.

Blow-dry hair and use a heat-seal protector

Step 3.

Curl sections of hair with a thick curling iron

Step 4.

Softly brush out hair to loosen up the curls

Step 5.

Spritz on an anti-frizz treatment, and the look is complete!
