This season, stylish girls have been all about neutral outfits with pops of bright accessories.  An even faster and cheaper way to try this trend is on your nails with Essie’s newest nail color line Braziliant.

The summer 2011 collection, which unfortunately is not yet available online, features six different eye-catching shades that could easily become the focal point of any look. All of them will cost $8—much cheaper than a new handbag, right?

The line features two polishes in the sometimes-scary shade of orange: the light, shimmery “braziliant”  and “meet me at sunset,” a deeper shade. There’s also “absolutely shore,” a sea foam green, “too too hot,” a red coral, and “super bossa nova,” a bright fuschia. My favorite color is “smooth sailing,” a lavendery-blue with some sheen in it.

Paint your nails any of the above and  throw on a white and black monokini, a straw floppy hat, and some bow sandals, and you’re ready for the beach! That’s how they’re marketing the shades after all. “If you want to pick up some color at the beach, I say go braziliant.”
